A real ice rink is either a naturally body of water or an artificially cooled piping system on which water got sprayed on to freeze real ice, then artificial ice rink. Now and then an artificial ice rink is called a “real ice rink”!

A necessary explanation because interested people may be confused about the terms “artificial ice rink” and “synthetic ice rink”.

An artificial ice rink is built up with artificially frozen water, then consequently real ice rink. In contrast to a synthetic ice rink which failed the component ice. Synthetic ice rinks simply consist of plastic or wax plates as a surface for skating.
