A “portable ice rink” is a “non-permanent” installed ice rink which can easily be installed and dismantled.

Primarily portable ice rink systems got applied at special events, weather they took place outdoor or indoor. For example outdoor, at Christmas markets, or indoor in arenas without integrated artificial floor cooling.

Portable ice rink systems do not necessarily have to be dismantled. Not at least because of their energetic efficiency, there are portable ice rink systems in continued operation.

A great advantage of application of portable ice rinks in arenas is the complete decomposability of the system after usage.
