The picture below shows my grandpa at the local hockey classic with his team from Oberstdorf, in the 1960s. As you can see the game already took place on an artificial ice rink. But before installation of the NH3 - based facility, hockey action took place the local tennis court without any artificial cooling. In these days, my grandfather was also responsible for the condition of the non artificial ice-rink. What started as a local hockey hero….
…has been continued with my dad, whom you can see in the picture below in the jersey of the Schwenningen hockey team. In his time he was the top, native born, 2nd division scorer.
Seen the light of day in 1973, the succession of hockey generations started great talented in “Lederhose” …..

After spending every day of my younger times at ice rinks, I graduate degree in economic science at the age of 28. After working experience in a management consultancy, specialized on ice business affairs, I had been employed for an international ice rink technology dealer. Currently I am engaged at an Austrian manufacturer of ice rink technology, which delivers highest quality ice rink systems and accessories.
